Once part of a boys' camp on the shore of Lovejoy Pond, this log-sided cabin is a treasure. This one bedroom rustic cabin is part of a community of owners from across the US, some who used to be campers. The lovely grounds include 770' of shared frontage on Lovejoy Pond, two fabulous permanent docks, the former dining hall which can be used for private events, the arts & craft building and library, plus the clay tennis court, ball fields and 36+/- acres. The sellers purchased it in 1985 shortly after the cabins were sold to private owners, and have maintained it beautifully. The seasonal cabin has an open floor plan with a wood stove, cathedral ceiling and beams; the sleeping loft provides extra space. Lovejoy Pond is popular for fishing and boating. What makes it special is there is not a public boat access, so the lake activity is by property owners on the Pond. The Menatoma Association is very active and keeps the roads and grounds well maintained. The annual association fee of $1,800 will be reduced by $440 in the next three years; this fee covers replacing one of the docks.
