Third Lake is a 155.5-acre lake in the Village of Third Lake in the well-known Lake County, Illinois. This private village contains Third Lake and the smaller Druce Lake connected by a small slew.

Boating, swimming, skating, and fishing are welcome on the scenic Third Lake. This lake requires a membership fee to use its facilities. Boats must have a valid sticker to be used on Third Lake or Druce Lake. The village does have a boat launch for easy water access.

Golfing can also be found nearby at the Renwood Golf Course and Grayslake Golf Course. Grayslake is a public course with nine holes that is perfect for golfers of all experience levels. The Clubhouse at Grayslake has restrooms and concessions, including hot dogs, burgers, chips, candy, fountain drinks, beer, and wine.

Renwood Golf Course is an 18-hole course for golfers looking to spend the day on the green. It is also open to the public and often hosts tournaments for those who love competition.

If you prefer a rod over a club, then you are in luck. Third Lake is the deepest lake in the area with a maximum depth of 70 feet. This gives anglers the chance to catch a variety of fish, including largemouth bass, bluegill, black crappie, and northern pike. Of course, during the winter, ice fishing is prevalent.
