Located in northeast Alabama on the Alabama-Georgia border, Weiss Lake is 52 miles long and covers more than 30,000 acres, offering close to 450 miles of shoreline in Cherokee County, Alabama, and Floyd County, Georgia.

Weiss Lake was created in 1961 and named after F.C. Weiss, Alabama Power's chief engineer. The lake was formed from the waters of the Coosa, Chattooga, and Little Rivers.

Weiss Lake has many unique features, including shallow flats, large coves, underwater drops, and channels deeper than 60 feet.

Birmingham, Huntsville, and Gadsden are under two hours away, giving residents multiple options for city adventures. The Northeast Alabama Regional Airport is under 50 miles away, and the Cherokee Medical Center is less than 10 miles away.
